Collection list

The page that lists every collection in your store, at /collections. This section renders it: a page heading, an optional editorial intro, and a grid of collection cards — each showing the collection's featured image, its title, its product count, and a "View collection" arrow.

It lives on the list collections template, so it's what you edit when you customize that page in the theme editor, where it appears as Collection list.

What shows and what doesn't

The grid only shows collections a shopper can actually browse:

• Empty collections are skipped. A collection with zero products never renders as a bare tile.
• The auto-generated "Home page" collection is skipped. Shopify creates it for every store; it isn't a real shopping destination.

If nothing is left to show, the section renders a single line — "No collections yet — check back soon." — instead of an empty grid.

Settings

Setting	What it does
Eyebrow	Small uppercase label above the page title (e.g. Explore). Leave blank to hide it.
Subtitle	One-line intro under the page title. Leave blank to hide it.
Grid item width	Small for a compact grid, Large for bigger cards.
Color scheme	Which of your theme's color schemes the section uses.

The page title itself is the theme's translated "Collections" heading — it isn't a setting, so it stays consistent across your store's languages.

This section does not use blocks.

The Uisce mosaic

On the Uisce preset the desktop grid is an editorial mosaic: depending on how many collections you have, the first cards become double-size feature tiles, calculated so the grid always fills cleanly with no orphan row (exactly three collections get a clean three-across row; other counts fill a four-column grid). The other presets keep the plain uniform grid, and on phones every preset stacks the cards one per row.

You don't configure any of this — add or remove collections and the mosaic re-balances itself.
