Choosing a Preset
A preset is a ready-made design — colours, fonts, and visual style bundled together so you don't have to start from a blank canvas. Uisce ships with five presets, each designed for a different type of store.

What a preset includes
Each preset is a complete starting design: its colour schemes, its heading and body font pairing, its button and accent styling, and its decorative signature — the background textures and ornamental details that give the preset its character. The full bundle is applied when you add the theme to your store and choose a preset as your starting point.
The Theme preset setting
In the theme editor, Theme settings includes a Theme preset selector. This setting controls the decorative signature layer only — the preset-specific textures and flourishes. Your colours, fonts, and colour schemes are separate settings, and they keep their current values when you change it.
That means switching the selector on its own changes the decorative details, not your whole store's look. To adopt a different preset's complete design, add a fresh copy of Uisce to your theme library, choose the other preset as its starting point, and publish it when you're ready.
What stays the same
Switching the Theme preset selector never touches:
- Your products, collections, and pages.
- Your navigation menus.
- Section content you've already added.
- Any custom CSS you've written.
- Your colour and font settings — including any values you've customised.
TIP
Custom colours are safe. The Theme preset selector doesn't change colour or font settings, so anything you've customised stays exactly as you set it.
